About Karl Wizinsky

I am a lifelong Michigan resident (MBA, Wayne State University -1983) and will bring 30 years of executive, administrative and business consulting experience to the school board. My employment has been primarily in the health care sector in large complex systems. I now operate a health care consulting business with engagements in the medical and health insurance sectors.

For 25 of my 32 years in Novi, I have had a child attending Novi Community Schools. My oldest son, Matt, discovered his passion for design at Novi High School (Class of ’96) and is now a Senior Designer for an international design company in Cincinnati.  Our Sarah, now 17, is a senior at NHS, and Paul, 16, is a sophomore at the high school.

Matt attended Novi Woods, and Sarah and Paul attended both Parkview and Deerfield elementary schools. All three of them continued through Novi Meadows and the Novi Middle School. During these early years, I had an opportunity to assist in the classroom and with special events.

My wife, Marcia, and I met at the University of Michigan when working together in the launch of MCARE HMO, and she continues to work as a health care executive. We have launched several programs and new business initiatives responding to challenges in the health care industry.

We have lived in our home on Wixom Road since 1986, our fourth home in Novi. Our first homes in Novi were in the Village Oaks and Whispering Meadows communities. In addition to our life in Novi, Marcia and I have renovated two Victorian homes in the Village of Northport, Michigan in Leelanau County.
