Community Connections

During the 1980’s I worked on planning committees for the Novi Community School District addressing expansion and service issues then facing the community. More recently (2007) I was appointed to the Novi Educational Foundation, which raises and provides resources to fund greater educational opportunities in Novi. Among NEF’s programs are teacher grants, student scholarships and teacher of the year awards.

As a founding member of Holy Family Catholic Church I served on the governing board of the parish in a variety of leadership positions and sang in the choir for 25 years. As the parish grew with Novi, I was active in fundraising and planning for each of the three major construction initiatives which enlarged Holy Family to its present size.

Other roles, such as my service on the City’s Board of Review, have given me a broad perspective on the community’s growth, development and goals.

Our family has also been active in Novi Theatre since 1999, enjoying a connection with Novi residents of all ages in the annual musical productions, as well as dramatic productions.
